The sports team of the embassy in Ankara took part in a running event called Runkara on the weekend of October 7-8, 2023. It was the first event of its kind in the Turkish capital, Ankara. Runners could join the event in races of 21 km (half marathon), 10 km, 4.2 km (fun run) and 2 km (family run). The first year of Runkara, which was organized in cooperation with the RunCzech organization, attracted around 5,000 participants. Motto of the event: "All runners are beautiful".
