Sending an ambassador as the highest representative of a country in another state is an important act in the relations between the two countries and has the necessary standard procedure. The traditional ceremony has been taking place in the Kingdom of Belgium according to a fixed protocol program for many years. The reception of the ambassador and his diplomatic corps by his majesty took place at the Royal Castle of Laeken in Brussels. The ambassador was accompanied to the king by Eva Kordová, deputy of the ambassador and consul Pavel Štícha.

Part of the ceremony was a short personal interview with the monarch, during which Ambassador Jakub Skalník presented his vision for the development of mutual relations.
