Ambassador Martin Tlapa at Carleton University’s United Nations Society

Ambassador Martin Tlapa was invited by Carleton University’s United Nations Society to talk about the Czech economic transformation and its economic consequences.
 

On March 1st, invited by Carleton University’s United Nations Society, Ambassador Martin Tlapa delivered a talk regarding the economic challenges of the transformation from communism to democracy along with the subsequent process of nation building and economic transition in the Czech Republic.

He also outlined where the Czech economy is headed, the problems it faces and the importance of the partnership with Canada, the like-minded country. Topics discussed included globalisation, trade liberalization and protectionism, energy security in the context of the Russian invasion and also the importance that critical minerals will play in the energy transition.
