Main reason for Deputy Minister Martina Tauberová visit to the USA was her participation in the conference and TechConnect World 2021 trade fair where also participated at the opening ceremony of the Czech booth at this year’s fair together with ten Czech companies from the field of nanotechnology, artificial intelligence, virtual reality and research companies and institutions.

During her visit, Martina Tauberova met with a representative of the US Chamber of Commerce to discuss current challenges of international trade and the economic and trade policy of the new US administration.

Ms Tauberová also talked to representatives of the US Department of Commerce and Office of the US Trade Representative about our bilateral trade relations, EU-US Trade and Technology Council (TTC) TTC or the current state of the World Trade Organization (WTO), among others.

She discussed EU-US relations with representatives of the Delegation of the EU in Washington, DC.

Martina Tauberová also discussed at the Congress issues of Transatlantic cooperation, Three Seas Initiative (3SI) or Transatlantic Telecommunication Security Act (TTSA) and priorities of the forthcoming Czech presidency of the Council of the EU.

Deputy Minister Tauberová also met with a representative of Peterson Institute for International Economics and The Heritage Foundation think tank.

Through her visit, the Deputy Minister for EU and International Trade expressed the importance of the United States as a key partner for the Czech Republic both on a bilateral and multilateral level. Thanks to the personal meetings, mutual attitudes were clarified, and our transatlantic cooperation was further deepened.
