Book presentation on Carol Benisch

On 15 December 2015, the book “Carol Benisch – 50 years of architecture” by the art historian Oana Marinache was launched in the House of Ion Mincu (Casa Mincu) in Bucharest in the presence of Chargé d´Affaires a.i. Tomáš Vostrý.
The monograph describes life and work of the architect Carol Benisch, who was born in Krnov in the Czech Republic in 1822 and died in Bucharest in 1896. Benisch was a founding member of the Society of Architects in Romania and the author of significant buildings including the Domnita Balasa Church in Bucharest and the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul in Constanta.
The book was issued thanks to financial support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic.
