One World Romania Festival

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Bucharest once again supported the traditional One World Romania documentary film festival, which took place from 31 March to 9 April in Romania. The theme of this year's 16th edition of the festival was "The Good Life".

What started in 2008 as a smaller replica of the Czech One World Festival has transformed into a civic and film platform over 15 years. The theme of this year's 16th edition of the festival was "The Good Life". This theme is reflected in a comprehensive programme that puts into context and questions how the philosophical concept of goodness finds a multifaceted representation in today's culture and society. A representation that oscillates between the immediate gratification of the individual and sustainable collective well-being. The films in the festival are also available online from 10 to 30 April.
On the occasion of the festival, a reception was held at the residence of the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Romania, Halka Kaiserová, in the presence of distinguished guests. Andras Istvan Demeter, Deputy Minister of the Romanian Ministry of Culture, and Alexandru Solomon, founder of the One World Romania Festival, spoke at the reception. The reception was an opportunity for filmmakers to meet and network with the diplomatic community and representatives of cultural institutions in Romania.
