Three Seas Initiative Summit in Bucharest

On 6 September, the Czech delegation, led by the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies, Markéta Pekarova Adamová, attended the Three Seas Initiative Summit in Bucharest. Important issues were discussed at the summit, such as support for Ukraine, energy security, digitalisation and economic growth in the region through close cooperation between European countries. The delegation included Deputy Foreign Minister Jan Marian, who met with State Secretary for European Affairs Daniela Gitman and discussed current pressing issues such as the war in Ukraine and the security of the European region. He also attended a luncheon of the National Coordinators of the Three Seas Initiative, where he discussed the future of the Initiative and the possibilities of Czech involvement. In the afternoon he met with representatives of the think tanks New Strategy Center and Romanian Center for European Policies to discuss their activities and possible links and cooperation with NGOs in the Czech Republic.
