The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Ukraine is pleased to announce a call for project proposals for Ukrainian NGOs in Dnipropetrovsk Region (Transition Promotion Program)

The call for project proposals under the Transition Promotion Program 2024 aims to support civil society in Dnipropetrovsk region in various areas.

Priority areas of the competition

1. Support for human rights, human rights defenders and civil society

   a. Assistance to human rights defenders in times of war.

   b. Monitoring the human rights situation, including in the temporarily occupied territories.

2. Right to education

   a. Enhancing the competence of school leaders and teachers in the context of war.

3. Right to a healthy environment

   a. Supporting environmental initiatives and activism, including at the grassroots level

 

Who can apply

Non-profit public organizations officially registered in Ukraine are eligible to apply. Priority will be given to organizations from the Dnipropetrovsk region or projects of other Ukrainian NGOs focused on this region.

Projects created in partnership with other organizations are also eligible for consideration.

 

Conditions

The project proposal should address only one of the priority areas. No more than two proposals from one organization are allowed.

The maximum duration of the project is 6 months (May-October 2024). The project must be completed by the end of October 2024.

The amount of expected funding is up to 500 000 CZK.

To participate in the competition, you must fill out an identification form (XLSX, 30 KB). Please note that the form also includes a narrative part. Before filling out the financial part, please familiarize yourself with eligible costs (DOC, 66 KB).

The completed form must be sent to the email address grants.ukraine@mzv.gov.cz by May 12, 2024. The subject line of the email should be in the following format "Priority Area Number_Name of Organization_Dnipro 2024" (for example, "2_NGO Transition_Dnipro 2024"). The letter should not contain any other files (such as CVs, presentations, etc.). If necessary, the Embassy will contact you for clarification or to request additional information.

Questions related to the competition will also be accepted at the above address until April 30, 2024. The Embassy reserves the right not to respond to inquiries submitted at a later time.

 

About the program

The Transition Promotion Program is a financial program and instrument of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic aimed at protecting human rights and supporting democracy in developing countries. The program promotes the development of civil society, Euro-Atlantic integration and the use of the Czech Republic's successful experience in social transformation.
